Diaries of Frankie

I never planned on being a Limo Guy I just fell into it and I have been trying to get out ever since. A guy with my education, professional training should be able to find a nice cushy job somewhere right? Change the world perhaps?

For those of you who don’t know me my educational pursuits were cut short by unforeseen events (I got thrown out of college) and my true calling is in communications (gift of gab) as far as a nice cushy job, I’ll be honest I love my job.

I feel like I do change the world, my small world everyday. We have fun but we take our job very seriously because what we do is give people options. The option is to go out have fun drive home and kill someone, get arrested, the smart option is to call us.

You get to have a unique experience without the worries and carnage, flashing lights in the rear view make me nervous!

Of course I am going to say this I am plugging my company but hey, I have hundreds of clients that will tell you the experience they have with us is outstanding and worth their hard earned cash.

Give us an opportunity to show you what we can do, we’re gonna do a great job for you.

Get limos in Phoenix, Limos in Scottsdale, Limos in Arizona we service the whole valley with the newest fleet of limos in Arizona.

State of the Onion I mean Union

Obama just gave his first State of the Onion I mean Union. The good news is the Onion is still there, the bad news, it still STINKS like HELL.

What the Hell do I do now?

What the Hell do I do now?

Though I think Obama is giving it the old college try we are all still waiting for a recovery we can sink our teeth into.

The past year was difficult for a limo company in Phoenix but we have been hanging in there. The trouble is I don’t know if things are getting better or we are getting busier because so many other limo companies in Phoenix have fallen by the wayside.

Either way, Platinum Rides is going strong and we are very positive about 2010 and beyond. We have plans for new vehicles that nobody has yet. I’ll keep you all in the loop but if you would like respond to this blog with some new limo ideas.

Don’t forget about the boys at Platinum Rides when planning your crazy Rock Star nights!!!

Limos in Phoenix

When looking for a “limo in phoenix” you really need to do your homework. There are a lot of “limo companies in Phoenix” that are going out of business and a lot of new “limo companies in Phoenix” popping up.

I have heard a lot of stories about these new “limo companies in Phoenix” not being up to par. They don’t have the correct insurance coverage, they aren’t DOT certified, there drivers don’t have the proper license, etc…

They are giving great rates to their unsuspecting clients that soon find out that the limo or “party bus in phoenix” they reserved is 15 years old and frankly a piece of ****. Be aware, there is value in choosing a reputable limo company in Phoenix that may be priced a little more but with a great reputation.

You should check online company reviews of limos in Phoenix. Look for limo companies in Phoenix with good customer reviews. Be aware though limo companies in Phoenix with bad reviews can choose to have no reviews shown as opposed to the bad reviews they have received. So no reviews for a limo company in Phoenix may say you need to dig a little deeper.

Platinum Ride Limousines has been in business for almost 10 years now and is a family run limo company in Phoenix. We work hard to make sure you all have a great experience with us.

Prom Limos and Party Buses

Prom Limos and Party Buses

Have you heard any PROM HORROR STORIES involving Limos or Party Buses in Arizona? I have!

Every year the calls start flyin in around this time all asking 1 question HOW MUCH?

I get it, you don’t have a lot of cash for your prom. I know it’s expensive the tickets, dress and tux, dinner, limo, etc I get it. But remember, your not going to the dance without tickets and your not going to the dance without a tux or dress and your not going the dance without “transportation to the prom”.

These are all things you have to have, so you do have to budget yourself. Keep in mind, your tickets are not going to spontaneously combust and set your house on fire, the tux shop isn’t gonna send you a red and gold tux from the 1960’s but the cheapest “limo company” may:

 er6turfgjgh

  • Not show up, or show up late!
  • The cheapest priced “limo” or “party bus” may show up and you wish it hadn’t cause it’s a 10 year old piece of ****!
  • The driver may treat you horribly and ruin your prom!

Get the picture? The cheapest prom limo story usually ends badly.

 old limo 2 old limo

To cut to the chase, the “cheapest limo” or “party bus” may just look the part, the cheapest!

Ask questions about the company like how long they have been in business, are they involved in any local or national associations, what type of insurance do they carry, what year is the “limo or party bus” I am renting.

I would suggest going down to the companies office and look at the vehicle your going to rent. Talk to the owners and bring your parents with you let them get a feel for the company.

Another suggestion is don’t wait to book your prom limo or party bus. You may just wait yourself out of a “great limo” or “limo bus” after you went through all that investigations and due diligence and then you’ll have to settle for a lesser company and vehicle. That would negate all of your efforts cause you’ll be forced to take what’s left from a company you had already passed on.

The biggest mistake people make when booking a limo or party bus is waiting until they have collected all the money up front. I can tell you from experience in planning events for guests for almost 10 years, you will not have everybody’s money until the day of the event or very close to it! There will not be anything left worth renting the week of your prom. Parents I know that you don’t want to put up your credit card until you are guaranteed being paid back by the kids however I guarantee your kids will be renting whatever prom limo or party bus was picked over and left over and you will pay dearly for it. My rule of thumb for parents has been to secure at least half the kids, reserve the vehicle and get your kids crackin collecting the rest of the money! Once you book the “prom limo” or “party bus” they can now focus all that energy into collecting money.

These are all just suggestions and you can take it all with a grain of salt but every year I get those calls on prom dates begging me to send something to pick up a group because the “limo” or “party bus” never showed up or it broke down. I feel for those kids but then again they got a “great limo deal” right?

Rates are higher for the prom season because it is our busy season. “Rates for limos” and “party buses” can range from $75.00 per hour to $400.00 with a 6 hour minimum. Be prepared, call around then go out and investigate. Make a calculated decision and move forward with your reservation and planning. Don’t be the one calling me and begging me for a ride on your prom night please.

Give us a call we’d love to talk to you about your plans and help you decide on a limo or party bus rental.

WHO DAT?

WHO DAT?

Well the WHO DAT nation thoroughly explained to our Cardinals the answer to that question.

 dockett

After this past Saturday’s NFL Playoff game between the Arizona Cardinals and the New Orleans Saints I think I am going to drown my sorrows and reflect on the great year we did have. It hurts as a long time faithful fan to have it end like that. I am proud of what the boys in Red accomplished this season as we all should be.

If I can say the one thing I am most proud of is that we now expect them to go to the show every year. What a change from the days when we went nuts for a .500 season. Burrowed in mediocrity we now expect pure excellence every season.

When the boys return home my brother Joe and I will be right here ready for them to take some time off and hit the “clubs in Scottsdale” to celebrate their great season. Oh yes, they will call and be smart by’ taking a Party Bus in Scottsdale out on the town“. We don’t need any off season DUI’s and you should be smart too. “Get a Limo or Party Bus in Phoenix” and don’t take the chance that you get a DUI from old Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Till next year RED SEA keep the faith pray that Kurt doesn’t retire and

Its Not Rocket Science

It’s Not Rocket Science

Running a successful Limo & Party Bus company in Arizona is not that complicated.

Were not Rocket Scientists over here we drive Rocket scientists.

You see the thing you need to do when running a limo company is take care of people. Planning and preparation always make me feel confident that whatever comes up we’re ready to go with a solution and procedure. The focus is always the customers experience and safety.

People always ask me what types of people we drive. The answer is all kinds we drive doctors, lawyers, celebrities, athletes, kids, plumbers, electricians, teachers, fireman, getting the picture.

I always say we treat regular people like celebrities and celebrities like regular people. The truth is we never know who is gonna be our guest. So we prepare for everything, I have a good story for you.

Early on in my limo career I got a call for a Sunday morning pick up at the private jet terminal at Sky Harbor. It’s scheduled for a 12 hour day reservation. All I was told was I would have a few UN Reps in for a tour of the Florence prisons, loads of fun right?

So I get to the pick up early to check in with the front desk and wait for the flight to come in. I kill some time and call my mom back home as I do every Sunday, cause I am a good Italian son and moms favorite. I tell her about the boring day I have ahead of me and get off the phone with her quickly as the flight just landed.

I pull out onto the tarmac and the pilot rolls out the red carpet. There are my passengers for the day, Angelina Jo Li! There went my boring 12 hour day, now I am driving one of the most recognizable actresses in the world. Seems she is touring the facilities in Florence as a part of her UN Refugee work. Have to say it she’s HOT, HOT, HOT!

 Angelina_Jolie_pictures

I quickly go through what Vie been taught about driving high profile passengers, no autographs or pictures obviously, keep the clients identity a secret to avoid any security issues and most important speak when spoken to. Yes 12 hours of silence and nervous energy for me.

I have to say that the day went very well and she could not have been more sweet and low maintenance. The day flew by with no issues at all except a few strange autograph hounds who I warded off.

Over the years we have serviced many, many high profile clients and most of them prove to be just like you and me but way better looking and money to burn, ha ha.

What we do may sound easy just driving people, but it’s our job to make it seem that easy. There is a lot of preparation that goes into running a successful limo company that our clients never see. When we first meet our passengers and guests we need to quickly gauge what we can do to make that particular client safe, happy and give them a wonderful experience with us, every trip is different.

That is our goal for every reservation and that is what keeps us going, your satisfaction.

Please keep us in mind for you next event and remember, we’re gonna do a great job for you.

GREENBAY PACKERS GONE FISHING

Monday, January 11th, 2010

WOW!!! Those Arizona Cardinals can turn it on and off whenever they need to. Regardless about what the national media thinks of them they are the real deal and they have some unfinished business to tend to.

1_NFL_arizona_cardinals_1

But those Packers will be ice fishing next Sunday!

Green Bay Packers are done

Green Bay Packers are done

I saw a lot of Packers fans get real quiet real quick during the first Playoff game this past Sunday. What a barnburner, I have never experienced a game like that in my life and I’ve been to a lot of games.

They showed me again why I am a Cardinals fan they inspire me when they pull off a performance like that. Get on the bandwagon  now and support them they come to play hard and they’re gonna get it done this year. Platinum Rides wants to be in that parade!!!

We go marching into the Saints home this Saturday to pull off another divine win.

Keep those Cards in you hearts and prayers a Super Bowl Champion is just what Arizona needs!

Fiesta Bowl Surprise

Fiesta Bowl surprise!!!

The Fiesta Bowl is always good for business and this year was no different. We got a lot of calls for people wanting Limos to the game. We always try to explain to people that when choosing a limo or party bus company you really need to ask the right questions. Do you carry the proper insurance?, are your vehicles DOT certified? What kind of license do your drivers carry?

These are all great questions to ask and if the owner of the limo company doesn’t know run like hell! There are some great deals on limos and party buses out there, mainly because there are a lot of guys running around out there with dangerous vehicles. Their fleet consists of old undesirable vehicles that don’t have the correct insurance and certainly not any DOT certification and the reason they don’t have that certification is they wouldn’t pass mechanically.

Not everybody listened to me and some of those great limos and party buses turned into pumpkins by the end of the game. You see AZ DOT pulled over and impounded several limos and party buses at the game. Yep, right there they pulled the drivers out and towed them away. One of the owners refused to get out of his party bus and got  himself arrested. The unsuspecting clients inside the game were in for a rude awakening when they came out looking for their ride home.

How great was that deal really? How great is that price your looking at right now? Give me a call reserve a Limo or Party Bus in Phoenix from Platinum Ride Limousines & Party Buses.

Don’t get left out in the cold.
